What A Catch Charters is operated by Captain Al Smith.  Captain Al and Captains that run trips for him are all  USGA licenced, ODNR licenced guides who are fully insured.  Captain Al haves over 30 years experience on Lake Erie. What A Catch Charters offers drift fishing for Lake Erie walleye, Lake Erie perch and smallmouth bass trips.  The Lake Erie Walleye fishery is world famous and is known as the Walleye Capital of the World. Perch fishing in the late summer and fall provides a lot of action as the limit of Lake Erie perch is currently 30 per person.  The smallmouth fishery is one of the best in the midwest if not in the entire country.  Smallmouth are a great game fish and offer a very feisty fight.

We offer discounts to families that bring 2 or more kids under the age of 16. We supply all tackle needed to be successful and have an enjoyable day on the lake. We have St Croix rod with high end spinning reels.

We custom make most of our lures and make them with the highest quality parts. We also offer executive trips which includes a hardy box lunch, beverages, fish cleaning and a first mate to help make your day as enjoyable as possible.
